Speculation Of Upcoming Rentals In iTunes 7.5
It seems rentals may be implemented soon. Just as in iTunes 7.0.1 when new strings hinted to the iPhone release, strings in iTunes 7.5 hint to some sort of upcoming rentals. Here they are:

All of these strings are new to this release, and never before seen. I smell another money maker for Apple. However it will no doubt be cheaper to use iPod / iPhone Torrents than renting everything you want.
iPhone UK Release A Flop
It seems the iPhone wasn’t such a fad overseas. In fact it drew almost no special attention, save that of journalists trying to cover a big story. One store employee was even quoted as calling the empty store “an average Wednesday afternoon”. It seems all the hype was simply that, hype.

iPhone 1.1.2 Downgrade To 1.1.1
I know a lot of people in Europe bought the iPhone and want to downgrade to 1.1.1 to unlock it. Here is how its done:
NOTE: This guide does not guarantee it will work 100%. Also errors 1015 is expected at the end of the process. Continue reading to understand.
1. Download the 1.1.1 ipsw firmware file from Apple. If the downloaded file has the extension “.zip”, please remove it and modify it to end up with a filename ending in _Restore.ipsw
2. Reboot your iPhone holding the top (power) and home buttons BUT release the top button 10 seconds into it (right after the screen goes dark) and continue to hold the home button until iTunes detects the phone in recovery mode. The iPhone screen will appear to be off, but start iTunes if not started yet .
3. Restore your iPhone by pressing and holding the ‘Shift’ key on windows or ‘option’ key on Mac, then click ‘restore’ to select the 1.1.1 firmware file you downloaded earlier. The restore should go through and errors at the end with error 1015. However you will notice that the iphone is in DFU mode with the connect to itunes screen from 1.1.1.
In order to kick the phone out of that mode I just had to launch iNdependence version 1.2.5 and wait a minute or so.

PS: And for those who wonder about IPSF, I tried to run it on my downgraded iPhone and it could not unlock the phone. It errors with “Unable to download firmware”. We should expect and update from IPSF shortly!

The new update happened last night, if you have been onto iTunes thus far. It seems the only visible change was the iPhone like ability to add and edit calendar event on your touch iPod. I’m sure however there were some deeper hidden fixes added.
iPhone Launched In Europe Today
The iPhone is launched in the UK and Germany today. Another big success story for Apple. It seems the iPhone is as popular as predicted and sales are projected to run strong with as many as 400,000 phones predicted to be sold by Christmas. Welcome to the club Europeans!
UK iPhone Launch, Think Big
The cell service provider slated to handle iPhone sales in the UK has added 1,400 new employees for the launch. They are projecting 200,000 sales of the iPhone before Christmas. While others believe it will be closer to 400,000. Buy some stock if you haven’t this should bring in a boost!
iTunes 7.5 Released
On Monday Apple released iTunes 7.5. After a few days of studies we found out some interesting things about this new version. It seems existing users were left without many of the features they hoped for. Its primarily a way for Apple to more easily allow activation of new iPhones. It also added support for the iPod game ‘Phase’. Really though, it seems like the same old stuff, just trying to get hose new Euro iPhones up and running easier.
Apple Shuns Cash For iPhones
In a move designed to stop the resale of iPhones Apple has prohibited the sale of iPhones for cash. This is to go along with the only 1 phone per customer rule. Now you have to use plastic so they can figure out how many you own.

Their site name is a bit misleading. All these downloads work on iPods and iPhones, not simply iPhones. This is my number one pick, I give it 5 stars. These guys have the absolute best selection and fastest download speeds. If you want to try a site, try this one.
This site is a close second place. The selection and download speeds are nearly identical. It still receives five stars but comes in second because the site is more plain. No flash, older site. This however may be to your liking. If you want the files without the fancy flash give these guys a try.
This site comes in third, however it may be a first round pick for some of you. This site like both the above is 100% legal and virus free. Its speeds are good. I found the selection in some ways lacking, however it has a lot of unique content such as European TV shows. If that’s your niche, check these guys out. I gave them four stars because they didn’t have a couple episodes I wanted at the time.

This site ranked last for me. The selection was top notch but speeds were slow at times. However it should be noted this is the cheapest site and the torrents found here can be for your computer as well as your iPod / iPhone. If you’re on a budget or want to get movies for your PC too, this one is still a good option. These guys earned only three stars because of the slow speeds at peak usage times.
