Girl Gets A Revolutionist Note In Place Of Her iPod
So a father buys an iPod for her daughter as a Christmas gift, fairly normal. This gets a bit strange when she opens it to find no iPod, in fact nothing but a ransom style note meant to inspire a revolution.
It Reads: “Reclaim your mind from the media’s shackles. Read a book and resurect yourself. To claim your capitalistic garbage go to your nearest Apple store.”
Possibly The Most Pathetic iPhone Ever

This is quite possibly the lamest iPhone I’ve ever seen. I’ve seen knock-offs, badly damaged phones, ugly colors / faceplates, but this one takes the cake. It’s a Sony Walkman W52S slider, and he thought he would make an iPhone out of it. Props for the effort but man, you’re gonna get beat up with a phone like that.

New Cell Phone Batteries To Last For Months
Thanks to Stanford University this new technology should allow cell phones (and many other devices) to store as much as 10 times the battery life. Basically the method involves using silicon nanowires inside rechargeable batteries. This should be great for laptops, cell phones, cameras, basically everything that uses a rechargeable battery.
j-clip
We recently recieved a request from the makers of this program to review it. And to be honest what we thought was spam turned into impressed, good software check it out.

Oftentimes when working on software development I’ll listen to the radio section of iTunes. Inevitably, while bouncing around several different radio stations I’ll catch something I like that I’ve never heard before or maybe something I have not heard for a long time. Who was that? What’s the story behind the song? Is there a video? Put off by bringing up the browser and manually performing a search, I’ll just let it go. But then I thought - wouldn’t it be great if I could just perform a couple of clicks and have it all done automaticallyVideo Demo:
Old School Sonic The Hedgehog Released For iPod
This is the original. Remember playing it on your Sega, maybe even your game gear? Well its available via iTunes now, for $4.99. This is one of the all time greats. I used to love some later sonic and tails games as well. If you don’t know what it is maybe this picture will jog your memory.

New Music Services Compete With iTunes
iTunes is finally starting to lose its virtual (no pun intended) domination of the music services industry. In 2007, after having little to no competition since its release, iTunes has gone up against some big players. These include MTV’s Urge network, and Rhapsody America. Zune also added some cool new social networking features to their network, allowing people to kind of promote what they like to listen to and draw in potential customers. This was to be expected, the good old Microsoft and Apple battle will rage on forever. And most importantly legitimate Torrent providers, which seem to be completely legal thus far, are becoming the new fad due to their low low prices. Well Apple, maybe a few million less in the next years to come.
Synch Media To iPod Using Windows Media Player
Add Media To Your iPod Via Windows Media Player With This Sofware From:
Rating:
![]()
Obviously there are a couple clear advantages of this program. When synching your iPod using iTunes your iPod can only be synched to one library (or computer) at a time. With the use of this software you can throw songs on from any computer, without resetting your library! There are other great features about this. Without plugging into iTunes you don’t need to upgrade your firmware on your iPod if you don’t want to. This is perhaps the best software for all you Apple lovers we have stumbled across in a long time. That is why it has earned the highest ranking here, 5-stars.
iPhone Hits Top 10 News Stories Of The Year
Not too surprising considering iPhone was at the top of the internet for searches for the year. Even after only being released in June Apple managed to pull in the number 5 spot for top news story of the year, with a story about its release, according to Lycos who compiled a list. Ahead of it was only Saddam’s execution, Iran conflict, Pakistan conflict, and global warming. Pretty impressive.
iPhone Matte
Cool new release here, the iPhone Matte can change the shiny-finish of the text-bubbles to a “matte” finish.
iPhone Matte even gives you the option to change the color-scheme of your chat-bubbles - with 9 flashy colors to choose from.
AT&T Expanding US iPhone Service Areas
In case you don’t read the news much AT&T recently acquired CellularOne, the largest rural US cell provider. They have just started rolling out iPhone service to Cell One customers, this means people in rural communities, and even my home state of Alaska now can use a non unlocked iPhone. The move is expected to bring in many sales and service contracts in time for Christmas.
Jajah Introduces VoIP Option For International Callers
Now this is the sort of thing that leaves potential for the iPhone to be the next great thing. As it is Apple’s newest release is good, but not being used to its full potential. Since it is like a computer, and to be used with the internet, why not introduce VoIP to make world wide calling affordable. Seems like a good way to reel in a lot of potential customers. Especially with upcoming competition, I believe service providers will be unleashing stuff like this to lure consumers to the product they support.
20% Of iPhones Sold In France Are Unlocked
In the first 5 days of sales in France 30,000 iPhones were sold. Of those sold 6,000, or 20%, were the unlocked version. Add onto that people jailbreaking their iPhones and I’d say even though the phone is a hit for Apple the service provider there is getting shafted. Quite interesting, in the US the number is less than 4% of all iPhones are unlocked. I suppose if you’re paying the $1,110 sticker price like those freedom haters you wouldn’t want to pay for that expensive service either though.
Apple Gives Out iPods To California Wildfire Victims
Most notably, they are children affected by the recent California wildfires. It may not seem like much, but it is probably all that many of them are getting for Christmas. And with iTunes prices ramping up in the long run Apple could actually turn a profit off of this kind PR stunt. Good business and good spirit, no wonder Apple is a force to be reckoned with.
Apple To Raise The iTunes Movie Sticker Price Up To $15
Apple is slated to bring around another big increase, raising up the price to get your movie via iTunes all the way to $15, almost the same as the average US DVD ($18 new release). Aside from the obvious, money money money, there is a bit of speculation that this move may draw in the big boys to release straight to iTunes, as the price will be almost equal with what they are currently making and they wont have to hassle with the making and shipping of DVDs. Another one to keep your eyes on here. If you aren’t already a Torrent user, I think you’re gonna want to be soon!
