This is bound to be the first of many lawsuits if it is a success for Apple. Apple filed suit against Atico International, claiming that their iPod speakers infringe on the “Made for iPod” marketing label. It would seem however that there are many more subtle ways for third party companies to design iPod accessories and still not infringe on Apple’s trademarks. I think there will be a marketing shift coming about soon that will avoid lawsuits and still lead the consumer to realise that these products are designed for the iPod.
