With the lifting of the iPhone SDK’s Non-Disclosure Agreement, it seems that a floodgate has been opened. In the past few days, in more than one instance, I’ve seen tutorials on how to write iPhone applications AND a whole lot more sharing of information. What’s more important is that it seems that Apple might be loosening up on their application approval process…Remember when the application “Podcaster” was denied from being published in the AppStore because it provided similar functionality to Apple’s own iTunes? Well, it seems that now Apple has let 5 mail applications become available for download. Don’t they provide the same functionality as Apple’s Mail app? Of course they do, with one exception…they are able to compose messages in landscape mode and not only in portrait orientation. Here’s a link to a story that the Apple blog wrote on this.
