It has been reported by the National Post that Rogers will be significantly lower data rates (at least on some data plans) for the iPhone in Canada. This is huge, I would say after that initial hurdle of buying your iPhone it can be quite depressing forking over that huge monthly bill to use it to its fullest potential. This will finally bring Rogers in Canada on scale with AT&T in the US at around $30 a month for you and I, and at $45 a month for corporate clients (both for unlimited data transfers). However the catch, as if there is ever a deal without a catch this days, is that you will be required to sign a 3-year contract. And with Apple running the way it does these days who knows how data will even be calculated in 3 years!

It’s about time that Rogers lower their ridicoulsly high charges for data plans. I hope they will do this for all the phones not only Iphones. Hope also the other phone companies follow Rogers lead. Maybe we can get come competitive pricing going.
